Civic and Community Events

There are events or circumstances that can call on a community to gather, sometimes with ample time to prepare and sometimes on very short notice.

These gatherings may be held to:

  • raise awareness or draw attention to a specific issue
  • respond to a current event
  • mark an important anniversary
  • show support for others
  • pay tribute to a community-wide loss

The primary purpose for such gatherings is to create a space to bring people together where they can:

  • find connection
  • provide support to one another
  • give voice to a message

I have the skills and experience to:

  • help plan your event
  • serve as an emcee
  • provide either secular or spiritual/not religious invocations, readings, speeches and closing words

I am also a musician and song leader. I can readily incorporate appropriate musical elements to the occasion.
